Annotation:

The North Carolina Commission of Indian Affairs is trying to obtain support for a special license plate honoring the state's Native Americans. A bill approving the plate, sponsored by Rep. Ronnie Sutton, a Lumbee and the state's only Native American legislator, was passed by the General Assembly last year. Still, at least 300 people must apply for the tag, which will cost $10.00. If enough people apply, the North Carolina Commission of Indian Affairs and the Division of Motor Vehicles will create a prototype.
