Charlie Lowry, lead vocalist of Dark Water Rising and Lumbee and Native American activist, is receiving ongoing dialysis for an autoimmune disorder called IgA nephropathy, or Berger’s disease. Lowry received a kidney donation in 2009, but the transplant is now failing, and Lowry is back on the transplant list. Lowry continues to play music.
