Annotation: 

Editorial.  Among members of the Chancellor Selection Committee (six Whites, two African Americans, and six Lumbee), at least two voted against adding Indian candidates to the twelve names being considered for an interview.  The article calls for the UNC-Pembroke Board of Trustees either to reject the list of twelve candidates or add  one or more Indian candidates to it.  See also two letters to editor on page 2.
