Annotation: 

Forty Tuscaroras went to the Robeson County Board of Education to ask how Indian Education Act funds were being spent.  The superintendent did not show up, and all were arrested.  The children were convicted for failure to attend school. The case was reversed on appeal, with help from the ACLU.
