The families included are those which exclusively contained individuals listed as "all other free persons" and were headed by such a member. Most of these surnames (Chavis, Jackson, Oxendine, and Stewart) appear to be Lumbee, then classtlied as "free Blacks." This group in Richmond County adds the family names Collins, Luvinor [Levine], and Turner [Turnor] to those considered in the Lumbee Settlement.
