Sociologist Joseph W. Eaton, from Wayne State University, interviewed all current and many former Red Banks members. Of the 24 cooperative farms organized by the Resettlement Administration in the 1930’s, Red Banks is the only one still operating. Red Banks is mentioned in two tables (pp. 66 and 151) in Eaton’s Exploring Tomorrow’s Agriculture (New York: Harper & Brothers, 1943).
