The Lumber River Conservancy's donation of Indigo Island--183 acres of undeveloped land with over a mile of river frontage--will make the Lumber River State Park the state's third largest park. The Conservancy received the land via private donation in 1979. Another donation of 444 acres will also be deeded to the park at some point.
