The Lumbee River Electric Membership Corp. is set to receive $19,947,739 in federal money to fund broadband services for its customers. U.S. Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack and Rep. Mike McIntyre will make the presentation Tuesday, 19 October. Vilsack will also speak at the 14th annual Agriculture Appreciation Dinner at Lu Mil Vineyard in Bladen County at 11 a.m on Tuesday.
