Photographs show Preston Locklear, Rosette Brooks, Wash Lowry, a Croatan Normal School class, Harriet Graham’s cabin, and Wash Lowry’s home. An iron tomahawk and an English-style cross-bow and hand-mill had recently been found in the Croatan settlement. Mentions the Croatan tradition of having taken Mattamuskeets as prisoners of war and kept them as slaves.
